We are a group of MorningSide residents – some newcomers, some long-time residents – who are proud of our community and want to share our vision, activities and accomplishments with a larger audience. We seek to work closely with the well-established neighborhood based organizations like MorningSide Community Organization, U SNAP BAC, and Habitat for Humanity – here in MorningSide. We are not an official website of any of these organizations, just an engaged group of neighbors who wish to share neighborhood news to existing residents and share all the wonderful attributes in and around MorningSide for potential future neighbors!

MorningSide, located just north of Grosse Pointe and west of Detroit’s East English Village, is a neighborhood full of possibilities. We are proud of our many assets – a large stock of beautiful Tudor-style homes built in the 1920’s, close proximity to excellent shopping, easy access to I-94, strong community organizations, caring neighbors, good schools, and active

Do we have challenges to overcome? Of course. The recession and mortgage foreclosure crisis hit our community like so many others in this city. But we refuse to accept anything less than a safe, clean, and vital neighborhood, and every day residents work hard to realize that vision.

Please get to know us. Please join us.

My husband and our two dogs moved in to MorningSide a year ago, and have loved it. We have great neighbors, and can’t get enough of the original 1920s character of our home.
